Germany's Lobby Just Tripled in Size, and Greentube Crashed the Top Four

Greentube showed up in August with 10 games and 3.19 percent of German lobby visibility. By November it holds 10.05 percent. That is a jump into the top four, and it happened on the back of one franchise: Book of Ra.

Here's the thing: the German panel also exploded. We tracked 13 casinos and 573 games in August. Now it is 36 casinos and 1,310 games. More shelves, more slots, and a reshuffle at the top worth reading carefully.

The new top of the table

Pragmatic Play still leads. It sits on 15.51 percent, up from 12.63, now with 141 games in rotation. Play'n GO is second on 12.72 percent and carries the widest catalogue at 154 titles.

Merkur slipped slightly to 11.79 percent, down 0.47. Then comes the story of the quarter.

Greentube climbed 6.86 points, the biggest single move in the market. No one else came close.

Greentube's Book of Ra wall

Where did the climb come from? Almost entirely from new titles landing on new shelves. Seven of Greentube's biggest German entries are newcomers, and six of them carry the Novomatic DNA German players know by heart.

Book of Ra Deluxe debuted straight into fifth place overall with a score of 77 across 25 casinos. That is not a slow build. That is a catalogue arriving fully placed.

Greentube went from 10 games to 49. The share followed.

Who lost ground

Not everyone rode the expansion up. Light & Wonder is the clearest casualty, down 2.55 points to 0.71 percent. Its game count actually dropped from 44 to 15 even as the panel grew, so this is real shelf loss, not dilution.

Novomatic slid 1.77 points to 2.95 percent. Interesting wrinkle: its game count rose from 9 to 45, yet its share fell. The Novomatic brand spread thin while the Greentube-badged classics did the heavy lifting. Same portfolio heritage, different label winning the lobby.

Pariplay dropped 1.73 points and GAMEIOM vanished from the panel entirely.

The top of the lobby now

At the very top, Play'n GO's two Dead games own Germany. Legacy of Dead holds a perfect 100 across 30 casinos. Book of Dead sits right behind at 93 on 28 casinos.

Below the Dead twins it is a German classics brawl. Merkur's Lucky Pharaoh Wild and Eye of Horus both score 79. Greentube's Book of Ra Deluxe lands at 77. Pragmatic's Big Bass Bonanza is the top non-local brand at 70.

Big Bass Bonanza is also the standout riser, up 18 points as its reach went from 7 casinos to 24. Pragmatic's whole stable rode the expansion: Big Bass Splash, The Dog House, Great Rhino Megaways and Madame Destiny Megaways all gained double-digit scores.

💡
Germany's lobby runs on two engines: the Play'n GO Dead franchise at the summit, and a dense pack of German-heritage classics from Merkur and Greentube right below. Pragmatic is the only international brand forcing its way into that pack.

One game bucked the Pragmatic wave. Gates of Olympus fell 25 points to 56, even while reaching more casinos. When a market floods with fresh placements, even a hit can lose relative score.

So what

For providers chasing German shelf space, the lesson is blunt. The classics win. Book of Ra, Eye of Horus, Lucky Pharaoh and the Dead series dominate because German players look for them by name. Greentube proved you can enter the top four in a single quarter if you bring the right back catalogue.

For operators, the new entrants reshaped the standard grid. Book of Ra Deluxe on 25 of 36 lobbies is now effectively mandatory inventory. If you are not carrying it, your lobby looks incomplete next to the competition.

For affiliates, the brands to feature shifted. Light & Wonder and Pariplay content is thinning out. Greentube and Pragmatic content is everywhere. Point your traffic where the shelves actually are.

Methodology note

Our German panel nearly tripled between the two snapshots, from 13 casinos to 36. That expansion inflates raw game counts across almost every provider, so share change, not game count, is the honest read on who is winning. We could not attribute 15.04 percent of visibility to a named provider, which is normal for a market with this many house-badged and reskinned classics.

The short version: the panel got bigger, and Greentube used the opening better than anyone. The Book of Ra wall is now a permanent fixture of the German lobby.
