Greece Rewired: Playtech and Blueprint Take Over the Lobby
One slot came from nowhere and swallowed the top of the Greek market. Καλοκαιρινά, a Playtech title, posted a perfect visibility score of 100 and sits on 6 of the 12 lobbies we track. Three months ago it did not exist in our panel.
That single game tells the whole story. Greece flipped between our May and August snapshots, and the providers who owned it before are not the ones who own it now.
The panel grew, and the mix changed with it
First, the frame. Our Greek panel went from 9 casinos to 12, and tracked games jumped from 255 to 456. More shelves, more titles, and a very different pecking order.
Here's the thing: the growth did not lift all boats equally. Two providers with zero presence in May are now sitting in the top five. One former leader got cut in half.
Playtech and Blueprint own the podium
Playtech went from an afterthought to the market leader. Its share climbed from 1.21 percent to 14.26 percent, a 13.05-point swing, off the back of just 21 games. Καλοκαιρινά does most of the heavy lifting.
Right behind it, Blueprint Gaming arrived with a bang. Zero share in May, 13.46 percent now, spread across 70 games. That is the widest catalogue of any provider in the Greek panel, and it went from nothing to second place in one cycle.
Top providers by lobby share, August 2026
Pragmatic Play is the third newcomer story. From 0 to 8.38 percent on 28 games, anchored by Gates of Olympus Super Scatter and Big Bass Splash. EgtCasino and Nolimit City also entered from zero, landing at 4.72 and 4.19 percent respectively.
Five of the top six providers either started from nothing or near nothing in May. This was not a reshuffle. It was a rebuild.
Play'n GO fell out of the lead
Now look at the other side. Play'n GO was the visible name in Greece in May, holding 11.21 percent share on 15 games. In August it sits at 4.1 percent on 16 games.
More titles, less than half the share. The catalogue barely changed. The shelf position collapsed.
| Provider | May share | Aug share | Delta |
|---|---|---|---|
| Playtech | 1.21% | 14.26% | +13.05 |
| Blueprint Gaming | 0% | 13.46% | +13.46 |
| Pragmatic Play | 0% | 8.38% | +8.38 |
| Play'n GO | 11.21% | 4.10% | -7.11 |
The evergreens tell you exactly what happened. Book of Dead dropped from a score of 14 to 2. Legacy of Dead went 12 to 2. Fire Joker 100 fell from 11 to 1. Three of Play'n GO's reliable Greek workhorses got pushed off the front pages almost simultaneously.
What the top of the lobby looks like now
Strip out the share tables and look at the actual front page. It is a Playtech slot, followed by Evolution live tables, followed by the new Pragmatic and Amusnet releases.
| Game | Provider | Score | Casinos |
|---|---|---|---|
| Καλοκαιρινά | Playtech | 100 | 6 |
| Ρουλέτα Live | Evolution | 28 | 3 |
| Blackjack Live | Evolution | 14 | 2 |
| Gates of Olympus Super Scatter | Pragmatic Play | 11 | 2 |
| Big Bass Splash | Pragmatic Play | 8 | 3 |
The gap between first and second is enormous. Καλοκαιρινά scores 100. The next game, Evolution's Ρουλέτα Live, scores 28. Nothing else clears 15. One Playtech slot is doing what an entire portfolio usually does.
Evolution deserves a note here too. Its share rose from 1.21 to 5.88 percent, and 6 of its 7 tracked games are live. In a market this slot-heavy, that is the strongest live-casino footprint on the board.
So what
If you are a provider eyeing Greece, the message is blunt. The market just proved it will hand the top slot to a single well-placed release. Blueprint and Pragmatic walked in from zero and took real share in one cycle. The door is open.
If you are Play'n GO, the fix is not more games. It is fighting for placement on the new casinos that joined the panel. The catalogue is present and losing anyway.
For operators, the Καλοκαιρινά effect is worth studying. One seasonal-themed Playtech slot is carrying six lobbies. That concentration is a lever, and right now Playtech is the one pulling it.
Methodology
Our Greek panel expanded from 9 to 12 casinos between the May 8 and August 4 snapshots, so some share movement reflects new lobbies entering the sample rather than pure gains or losses. About 21.5 percent of visibility could not be attributed to a named provider, including operator-branded entries like Stoiximan Αποκλειστικά. Live-versus-RNG split is 11 live games out of 456 tracked.
The Greek lobby did not shift. It got rebuilt, and Playtech holds the deed. For more on how we track new markets like this one, see our 16-market expansion note.
