Sweden's Lobby Doubles: Yggdrasil From Zero, Pirots 5 Owns the Top

Yggdrasil held zero visibility in Sweden in June. Today it sits on 34 games and 5.26 percent of the tracked shelf. That is the sixth-largest provider footprint in the market, built from scratch in one snapshot.

It is not alone. Sweden's tracked panel nearly doubled between the two snapshots, and the reshuffle at the top is the real story here.

The panel got bigger, and so did everything

We went from 7 casinos to 13, and from 261 tracked games to 462. More lobbies means more room, and the risers grabbed it.

Pragmatic Play still owns the top shelf. Its share climbed from 10.34 to 12.7 percent, and its game count rose from 35 to 46. No one is close on total visibility.

But the interesting movement is behind it. Games Global more than tripled its share, from 2.05 to 7.12 percent, jumping from 8 games to 36. Hacksaw Gaming did the same trick, 2.05 to 6.76 percent, 6 games to 17.

Quickspin went from a single tracked game to 13. Relax Gaming quietly moved from 4 games to 20, lifting its share from 1.52 to 3.42 percent.

Now the other side. Play'n GO is the only top-ten provider that lost ground, sliding from 8.56 to 7.32 percent. It added games, 14 to 20, but the shelf grew faster than it did. In a doubling market, standing still means falling.

Play'n GO added six games and still lost 1.24 points of share. When the lobby expands 77 percent, you have to grow faster than the panel just to hold position. Play'n GO did not.

The top of the lobby now

Here's the thing: the single most visible game in Sweden did not exist in our June data. ELK Studios' Pirots 5 launched straight into 8 of the 13 tracked lobbies and a perfect visibility score of 100.

That is more than double the next game. It also came at a cost to its predecessor. Pirots 4 dropped from 64 to 31, the second-biggest faller in the market. ELK is cannibalizing its own hit, and the new one is winning.

Pragmatic takes the next two slots with Gates Of Olympus Pop and Hearts of Venus, both fresh entries. Hacksaw's Le Bandit is the standout climber among returning titles, up from 16 to 43 and now on 4 lobbies.

The faller list reads like a clearout of last quarter's front page. Firefly Frenzy collapsed from 62 to 15. Fire Joker went 54 to 25. Book of Dead lost 22 points. The old Play'n GO evergreens are getting pushed down the shelf while newer mechanics take the visible slots.

So what

If you are a provider planning a Swedish push, the message is blunt: the shelf is being rewritten and the doors are open. Games Global, Hacksaw, Yggdrasil and Quickspin all multiplied their footprint in a single cycle. Placement moved, and it moved fast.

If you buy positioning as an operator or affiliate, watch the ELK sequel pattern. Pirots 5 did not just top the chart, it dragged Pirots 4 down with it. A studio's newest release is where the visibility flows, and last season's hit becomes the trade-in.

Live casino stays a niche of the tracked shelf. Only 41 of 462 games are live, up from 11 of 261. Evolution holds 18 of them. For the wider read on that split, see our live casino divide analysis.

Methodology

The panel changed materially between snapshots, from 7 casinos to 13. A share of the growth reflects that wider coverage rather than pure organic movement, so treat single-provider jumps as visibility gains within a larger, differently composed lobby set. We could not attribute 21.6 percent of tracked visibility to a named provider.

The takeaway: Pragmatic still owns Sweden's top shelf, but the challengers who tripled their footprints this cycle are the ones to watch next.
