Michigan's Lobby Shrank by Half. IGT Walked Away With It.

IGT now owns nearly a fifth of Michigan's tracked lobby visibility. That is not a typo.

Between July 28 and October 13, IGT's share jumped from 7.98 percent to 19.17 percent. A gain of 11.19 points, the biggest move in the market. And it happened while the panel was collapsing around everyone.

Here's the thing: our Michigan panel shrank from 10 casinos to 5, and tracked games fell from 1,078 to 323. Fewer shelves, fewer titles. In that kind of contraction you would expect the big catalog providers to bleed share. IGT did the opposite.

Who gained, who got cut

Three providers pulled share out of the wreckage. IGT, Light & Wonder, and Evolution all climbed while the overall game count dropped by 70 percent.

Light & Wonder went from 4.39 percent to 12.35 percent, a 7.96 point jump, on just 38 games. Evolution moved from 4.65 to 8.13 percent and still fields 21 live tables, the only serious live footprint left in the panel.

Now look at the other side of the ledger. Games Global was the story of the summer snapshot, sitting on 81 games and 7.37 percent share. It now holds 8 games and 2.73 percent. That is a 4.64 point drop and a near-total catalog wipe.

Pragmatic Play is the cleaner casualty. It had 24 games and 2.4 percent share in July. In this snapshot it has zero. Gone from every lobby we track in Michigan.

The top of the lobby now

One game sits above everything: Cash Eruption from IGT, a perfect visibility score of 100, placed on 4 of the 5 casinos we track. No other title is close.

Behind it the shelf is an IGT-heavy mix. Let it Ride (unattributed) scores 50 across 3 casinos. Then Evolution's Crazy Time at 42, and two more IGT titles, Game King Video Poker and Double Top Dollar, tied at 40.

Double Top Dollar is the sharpest riser on the board. Its score doubled from 19 to 40 as it spread from 1 casino to 2. Evolution's Ultimate Texas Hold'em made the same jump, 19 to 31, also on 2 casinos now.

The fallers tell you what left the building. The Huff N Puff family cratered: Huff N Even More Puff Grand dropped 70 points, from 90 to 20. Lightning Link High Stakes shed 68. Divine Fortune Gold fell the hardest of all, from 94 to 14, as it dropped from 3 casinos to 1.

The summer leaders in Michigan were Huff N Puff variants and Divine Fortune Gold. The fall leaders are Cash Eruption and a stack of IGT video poker and reel classics. The top of this lobby got replaced, not just reshuffled.

What to do with this

If you are a provider trying to get back onto Michigan shelves, the opening is obvious. Pragmatic Play's exit and Games Global's 73-game drop freed up real estate, and the casinos that remain are leaning hard into IGT and Light & Wonder product. The shelf is concentrating, not fragmenting.

If you buy slot positioning here, Cash Eruption is the wall you are hitting. It covers 4 of 5 lobbies. Fighting for the top slot slot means out-placing an IGT title that already has near-total coverage.

For affiliates, the content mix shifted toward classic and video poker. Game King Video Poker and Let it Ride are visible across multiple sites now. If your Michigan pages are still built around last summer's Huff N Puff jackpots, they are pointing at games that lost most of their shelf.

Methodology note

Two caveats, both material. First, the panel changed hard between snapshots, from 10 casinos to 5. Some of the share moves above reflect which casinos we can see as much as genuine provider strategy. Read the direction, not the decimal. For the fuller picture of that contraction, see our August Michigan report.

Second, 33.39 percent of tracked visibility could not be attributed to a provider. Titles like Let it Ride and Mo' Mummy Valley of Riches sit in that unattributed bucket, so the true share for named providers is likely higher than the percentages shown.

The short version: Michigan's lobby got smaller and IGT got bigger. When the shelves thin out, the provider with the title everyone keeps is the one that wins.
