Greece Lobby Shift: Playtech Storms In As The Panel Shrinks To 8
Playtech held 0.34 percent of Greek lobby visibility in July. Today it holds 7.86 percent.
That is a 7.52 point jump, the single biggest move in the market, and it came from just 10 games. One of them does most of the heavy lifting. More on that in a second.
Here's the bigger picture: we now track 8 Greek casinos, down from 11 in July. Three operators dropped out of the panel. And yet total tracked games went up, from 326 to 332. Fewer lobbies, more games per lobby. The shelves got deeper.
Pragmatic still owns the top, but the gap narrowed
Pragmatic Play leads at 12.33 percent, up from 8.04. It added 11 games to reach 27, the biggest title count in the market. No surprise there. Pragmatic is the default anchor tenant in almost every regulated lobby we cover.
What changed is who sits behind it. In July the runner-up field was thin. Now Playtech, Play'n GO, Games Global, Nolimit City and Evolution are all clustered between 3.9 and 7.9 percent. The chasing pack doubled or tripled share across the board.
Greek lobby share, current snapshot
Play'n GO went from 1.49 to 5.2 percent and jumped its catalogue from 6 games to 10. Evolution climbed from 0.92 to 3.96 percent, backed by 4 live titles out of 7. Games Global more than doubled to 4.19 percent on 16 games.
Nolimit City is the odd one out. It carries 19 tracked games, more than anyone except Pragmatic, but holds only 4.13 percent of visibility. Lots of titles, modest placements. Its share barely moved, up 0.46 points, even as several of its once-visible slots slid.
The Playtech carousel
Back to that Playtech surge. Almost all of it traces to one entry: "Κορυφαίοι Πάροχοι," a slot-tagged tile that scores a perfect 100 and appears across 3 casinos. It is a newcomer. It did not exist in our July snapshot.
A score of 100 means it is the single most visible object in the Greek lobby right now. For context, the next game on the list, Gates of Olympus Super Scatter, scores 30.
| Game | Provider | Score | Casinos |
|---|---|---|---|
| Κορυφαίοι Πάροχοι | Playtech | 100 | 3 |
| Gates of Olympus Super Scatter | Pragmatic Play | 30 | 3 |
| LIVE ΣΤΟΙΧΗΜΑ | Evolution | 29 | 1 |
| Gates of Olympus 1000 | Pragmatic Play | 26 | 4 |
| Legacy of Dead | Play'n GO | 23 | 3 |
The name translates to "Top Providers," and the score profile suggests a merchandising tile or provider carousel rather than a single playable slot. Treat the 100 with that in mind. Playtech's underlying strength is real, from 3 games to 10, but one promotional unit is inflating the share number.
Gates of Olympus, everywhere
Strip out the carousel and the real story is Pragmatic's Olympus franchise taking over the middle of the lobby.
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter rose from a score of 10 to 30. Gates of Olympus 1000 went from 6 to 26 and now sits on 4 casinos, the widest footprint of any ordinary slot in Greece. Both are among the top risers in the market.
| Riser | Provider | Score | Was | Casinos |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Legacy of Dead | Play'n GO | 23 | 2 | 3 |
| Gates of Olympus Super Scatter | Pragmatic Play | 30 | 10 | 3 |
| Gates of Olympus 1000 | Pragmatic Play | 26 | 6 | 4 |
| Tome of Madness | Play'n GO | 19 | 2 | 2 |
| Aviator | Spribe | 23 | 12 | 2 |
Play'n GO rode the same wave. Legacy of Dead climbed from a score of 2 to 23 and spread from 1 casino to 3, the biggest single-game jump in Greece. Tome of Madness went from 2 to 19. That is how Play'n GO tripled its share without a sprawling catalogue.
Spribe's Aviator keeps grinding up too, 12 to 23 across 2 casinos. The crash category is small here but sticky.
Who lost ground
Nolimit City supplied most of the fallers. Fire In The Hole 3 dropped from a score of 12 to 2 and lost a casino. Duck Hunters Happy Hour fell from 10 to 2, also down a lobby. San Quentin Manhunt and The Crypt 2 slipped. The provider is still present everywhere, it is just no longer front-of-shelf.
Further down, a handful of small studios vanished entirely. Iron Dog Studio, Egtdigital and Fazi each held a single game in July and now hold none. Gaming Corps halved from 4 games to 2. When casinos leave the panel, the long tail goes first.
What to do with this
If you are a provider chasing Greek shelf space, the window is the chasing pack. Pragmatic's lead is secure, but positions 2 through 6 just reshuffled hard, which means placements are moving. Playtech, Play'n GO and Evolution all proved you can multiply share here in one quarter with the right 4 to 10 titles.
If you are an operator, the newcomer list tells you what rivals are promoting: Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000, Ra vs Osiris, Dyna'Mike BoosterBelt, a Yggdrasil and an EGT Digital entry. Seasonal Pragmatic stock is leading the fresh intake.
Hacksaw Gaming and Endorphina both went from zero to live, 2.04 and 1.75 percent respectively. New entrants are still finding room even as the panel contracts.
Methodology
We now track 8 Greek casinos against 11 in July, so part of the share movement reflects a smaller, different panel rather than pure gains. Compare directions, not decimals. We could not attribute 39.37 percent of total visibility to a named provider, so the real figures for individual providers may run higher. And the top-scoring "Κορυφαίοι Πάροχοι" tile looks like a provider carousel, which lifts Playtech's number beyond its playable catalogue.
For the July baseline, see our earlier Greece breakdown.
The takeaway: Pragmatic still rules the Greek lobby, but the quarter belonged to the climbers filling the seats right behind it.
