Spain's Lobby Shrank. The Big Names Grew Anyway
Spain's tracked lobby got smaller. The leaders got bigger. Both at once.
Between July 5 and July 29 the panel lost 3 casinos and 352 games, dropping from 2,234 titles to 1,882. A contraction like that usually spreads pain around. It didn't. Pragmatic Play, Games Global, Evolution and Playtech all gained share through the squeeze.
Pragmatic cut games and still won
Here's the strangest line in the data. Pragmatic Play dropped from 137 games to 134, three fewer titles, and its share jumped from 10.38 percent to 14.69 percent. Fewer games, a much bigger slice.
That is what happens when a smaller lobby gets more concentrated. The casinos that left took long-tail filler with them. The survivors kept their best shelves, and Pragmatic owns a lot of those shelves.
Games Global went the other way on volume, up to 151 games from 144, and rode it to 9.48 percent share from 6.06. It now carries the largest game count on the board.
Top provider share, current snapshot
The climbers
Five providers posted share gains above 2.9 points. That is a lot of movement for a three-week window.
| Provider | Share now | Share before | Change | Games |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pragmatic Play | 14.69% | 10.38% | +4.31pp | 134 |
| Games Global | 9.48% | 6.06% | +3.42pp | 151 |
| Evolution | 5.95% | 2.59% | +3.36pp | 74 |
| Playtech | 7.96% | 4.76% | +3.20pp | 81 |
| MGA Games | 4.63% | 1.68% | +2.95pp | 57 |
MGA Games is the one to watch. It nearly tripled its presence, 32 games to 57, and climbed to 4.63 percent. A Spanish-focused studio pushing hard into Spanish lobbies while the panel contracts is not a coincidence.
Playtech deserves a note too. It added 20 games and holds 15 live tables, the second-largest live footprint behind Evolution's 39. For an operator buying live positioning in Spain, those two are now the conversation.
The top of the lobby
Gates of Olympus Super Scatter is the most visible game in Spain. It sits on 15 of the 23 tracked casinos and scores a perfect 100. Pragmatic again.
The real story is who it replaced. Big Bass Football Bonanza was the number one game in the previous snapshot with a score of 100. It fell to 59, a drop of 41 points, as its casino count slipped from 14 to 11. The crown changed hands inside Pragmatic's own catalogue.
| Game | Provider | Score | Casinos |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gates of Olympus Super Scatter | Pragmatic Play | 100 | 15 |
| Big Bass Splash | Pragmatic Play | 79 | 13 |
| Book of Dead | Play'n GO | 71 | 15 |
| Starburst | NetEnt | 69 | 12 |
| Pirots 5 | ELK Studios | 66 | 6 |
Two names in that top five are newcomers to the tracked lobby. Starburst arrived at score 69 on 12 casinos, a reminder that NetEnt still moves units from a standing start. Pirots 5 landed at 66, and its predecessor Pirots 4 is right behind at 57. ELK Studios went from 6 games to 22 on the back of that series, lifting its share from 0.3 percent to 1.95.
The fallers were mostly labels
Now the honest part. The biggest "fallers" in the raw data are not real retreats.
Evolution Live and EvolutionGroup both dropped to zero, losing 1.86 and 1.23 points. At the same time Evolution proper jumped from 35 games to 74. That is a label consolidation, not an exit. Read Evolution's +3.36 gain with that merge in mind.
Three previous snapshots split Evolution across "Evolution", "Evolution Live" and "EvolutionGroup". This snapshot files them under one name. The combined live footprint, 39 tables, is the number that matters for operators.
Among actual games, Gold Blitz Fortune Tower Fusion collapsed from 47 to 3 as it fell off 8 casinos. Soaked, Crabby's Gold II and Stadium of Riches all shed most of their reach too. The contraction cleared out the mid-tier before it touched the leaders.
A methodology note: 16.95 percent of tracked visibility is still unattributed to a named provider. That is well inside our normal range and does not change the direction of any gain above.
So what
If you buy slot positioning in Spain, the shelf you are fighting for is smaller and more crowded at the top. Pragmatic, Games Global and Playtech are absorbing the space that leaving casinos vacated. Challengers like MGA Games and ELK are proving you can still climb fast, but only with a live series or a local edge.

The takeaway is simple. A shrinking lobby does not thin the leaders. It feeds them.
